Four Directions Educational Consulting Services (4DECS) was established to address a critical gap in culturally responsive school counseling practices for Native American students. Recognizing the limited resources available to support Native youth along their educational journeys, we set out to empower schools, educators, and counselors with tools and strategies tailored to the unique needs of Native communities.

Our journey began in 2021 with the creation of CollegeBound Journey, the only online college planning platform specifically designed for Native American students. Built on years of research and development, CollegeBound Journey equips Native youth with culturally aligned resources to navigate college planning, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and prepared.

Since our launch, 4DECS has made a significant impact by presenting at local, state, and national conferences, sharing insights on supporting Native students within school counseling settings. We also collaborate with schools to develop tailored curricula, provide professional development for educators, and design summer programs for Native youth. Additionally, we serve as guest speakers at colleges and assist institutions in creating programs that center Native traditions and identity.

Our services extend beyond education to include coaching, program development, grant consultation, and contracted student support. As a registered LLC in Minnesota, we are committed to fostering equity, enhancing opportunities for Native youth, and creating sustainable, culturally responsive solutions that benefit students and communities alike.
