About This Service
Why Native Students Need Culturally Responsive College Support
Native American students have some of the lowest college enrollment and completion rates in the country, a reflection of long-standing systemic barriers and underrepresentation in higher education. Most school-based college advising does not address the unique cultural needs of Native youth, leaving many without the guidance to find colleges or scholarships that honor their identity. Without culturally responsive support, students often miss out on opportunities that could help them thrive academically and stay connected to their community values.
What’s Included in the Planning Package
✔ Session One: Student Intake and Cultural Fit Conversation (virtual)
✔ Session Two: Personalized College and Scholarship List (virtual)
✔ Session Three: Action Planning and Next Steps (virtual)
✔ CollegeBound Journey® College Planning Sheets (9th through 12th grade)
